Mount Artavaz is one of the peaks of the central part of the Pambak range (2929 m). It has a rare semicircular shape. The mountain is composed of nepheline syenites. The territory of the mountain has been declared a biological monument of nature — the "Relict Circus on Mount Artavaz". At the foot of the mountain is the village of the same name Artavazd.
